ClinConnect Summary
The Total Cancer Care Protocol study is focused on improving cancer care for patients by creating a large collection of information and biological samples from people diagnosed with cancer or at risk of developing it. This study, conducted by the University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center and its partners, aims to gather blood, tissue, and health records from thousands of participants. By doing so, researchers hope to support new cancer research, clinical trials, and personalized treatments tailored to individual patients’ needs.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and either have a cancer diagnosis or be suspected of having cancer. The study is open to everyone, including pregnant women, but prisoners cannot participate. If you join, you will be asked to provide samples and information about your health, but this study does not involve receiving any specific cancer treatments. Instead, it contributes to a better understanding of cancer and helps improve future care for patients like you.
