ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Fall Prevention in Elderly: Mechanisms and Strategies," is focused on understanding how and why falls happen among older adults living in larger communities. The researchers want to identify the causes of falls and test different strategies to help prevent them, aiming to keep elderly individuals safer and more independent.
If you or a loved one is between the ages of 65 and 74 and lives in a community with over 100,000 residents, you may be eligible to participate, as long as you do not have any medical conditions that would make it difficult to walk. Participants will go through some simple tests to help the researchers gather important information. It’s crucial to note that individuals who have trouble understanding instructions or completing the tests due to cognitive or physical issues won’t be able to join. By taking part in this study, participants will contribute to important research that could improve fall prevention strategies for older adults in the future.
