ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a computer program designed to help doctors identify and manage a condition called Familial Hypercholesterolemia (FH), which is a genetic disorder that leads to high cholesterol levels in the blood. The goal of the trial is to see if this program can help more patients get diagnosed with FH over a period of 30 months. The study is currently looking for primary care centers in the Östergötland county that use a specific electronic health record system.
If you are a patient visiting one of these centers and are between the ages of 65 to 74 or 29 to 219, you might be eligible to participate. Participants in the trial can expect their doctors to use this new decision support system to help identify if they have FH and manage their cholesterol levels more effectively. This trial is important because better identification and management of FH can lead to improved health outcomes for those affected by this condition.
