ClinConnect Summary
This is not a drug trial. It’s an observational registry called ISACS-ARCHIVES that collects de-identified health data from people admitted with acute coronary syndromes (ACS) such as heart attack or unstable angina. The goal is to learn about outcomes over time—like death from any cause and cardiovascular death, as well as events like a recurrent heart attack—and to explore how genetics and medicines may relate to these outcomes. No new treatment is being tested.
If you or a loved one were to participate, you would be adults (18+), of any sex, and able to give informed consent. The study plans to enroll about 130,000 people across multiple centers, led by the University of Bologna in Italy. Data are collected during standard care, with genetic and pharmacogenomic information studied in some analyses. The data will be kept de-identified to protect privacy and may be shared with other researchers after a short embargo period; the exact sharing rules are still being finalized. The project began enrolling in 2019 and is expected to finish around the end of 2025.
