ClinConnect Summary
The HealthyWeightHub.fi trial is studying a web-based program called HealthyWeightCoaching (HWC) designed to help people manage obesity over a 12-month period. This program combines advice on nutrition, exercise, and mental health strategies, based on a counseling approach that encourages personal acceptance and commitment. Each participant will also have a personal coach to guide them through the program. The goal is to see how effective this online support is in helping individuals achieve and maintain a healthier weight in a real-life setting.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be over 18 years old, have a body mass index (BMI) of 25 or higher (which indicates being overweight), and be comfortable using a computer or smartphone with internet access. They should also be willing to join the digital program. However, individuals with severe illnesses that need specialized care or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding cannot participate. If you join, you can expect regular online support and personalized coaching to help you on your journey toward better health.
