ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the mental and emotional health of young adults who experience hip pain. Many young people with hip issues, like hip dysplasia or labral tears, also face challenges such as anxiety, depression, and pain-related worries. The goal of the trial is to find out how common these mental health issues are in this group and to see if therapy focused on changing thinking patterns can help improve their overall health and well-being.
To participate in this trial, young adults aged 15 to 39 who are receiving treatment for non-arthritic hip pain are eligible. This includes those with specific hip conditions but excludes anyone under 15 or over 40 years old, as well as individuals with certain other hip problems. Participants will work with healthcare professionals to assess their hip pain and emotional health, and they may receive cognitive therapy to help manage their pain and improve their quality of life. This trial is currently not recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights into the connection between hip pain and mental health in young adults.
