ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at whether applying ozone to teeth before placing sealants can help those sealants last longer. Sealants are protective coatings placed on the chewing surfaces of back teeth, which can help prevent cavities, especially in the little grooves and pits where decay often starts. Ozone is being studied because it can kill bacteria and help strengthen the tooth enamel, which might make the sealants more effective.
To participate in this study, you need to have a first or second back tooth that can be sealed and be in good general health. It’s important that the tooth can be properly isolated during the procedure, and there shouldn't be any visible stains or health conditions like severe asthma or certain neurological disorders. If you join the study, you can expect to receive ozone treatment on your tooth before the sealant is applied, and your progress will be monitored to see how well the sealant works over time. This trial is currently recruiting participants of all genders aged between 2 and 58 years.
