ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating the effects of a virtual reality exercise program during hemodialysis, specifically comparing the impact of exercising in the last two hours of the treatment versus the first two hours. The main goal is to see if exercising later in the session helps patients maintain better blood pressure and overall stability while on dialysis. Additionally, the study will look at how this timing might affect other factors like how well the dialysis works, patients' overall health and quality of life, and their ability to exercise.
To participate in this trial, you should be between the ages of 65 and 74 and have been on hemodialysis for at least three months. You would need to be in stable health and able to exercise, while those with recent heart issues or who cannot exercise would not be eligible. If you join, you can expect to engage in virtual reality exercises while receiving dialysis, which may help improve your physical abilities and overall well-being. This study is currently recruiting participants, and your involvement could contribute valuable information to improving care for patients on dialysis.
