ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to measure intracranial pressure—essentially the pressure inside the skull—using a special camera called a video ophthalmoscope. This method is non-invasive, meaning it doesn’t require any surgical procedures or direct contact with the eye, and it doesn’t involve anesthesia. The goal is to find out if this method can give doctors useful information about intracranial pressure in patients who already have a monitoring device in place for medical reasons.
To participate in this trial, individuals need to be between the ages of 14 and 60 and must be able to sit still and focus their eyes on a target during the test. Those with certain eye conditions like glaucoma or retinopathy, or who have head tremors, will not be eligible. If you or someone you know qualifies and chooses to participate, you can expect a straightforward process where your intracranial pressure will be assessed without any discomfort or invasive techniques. This research could help improve how we monitor intracranial pressure in the future.
