ClinConnect Summary
The RIGID-MI clinical trial is studying how measuring the stiffness of blood vessels can help predict risks for patients who have recently had a heart attack, known as myocardial infarction. The goal is to understand which factors—like blood tests and imaging results—are linked to future heart problems, particularly heart failure. Researchers will be enrolling patients who have experienced a heart attack within 48 hours of their symptoms, to see how their blood vessels and overall health change after one month.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to sign a consent form and have a national health insurance number in France. The trial is open to all adults aged 65 and older who are experiencing a heart attack, but those with specific conditions like type 2 heart attacks or those who are pregnant cannot participate. If you join this study, you can expect to undergo various tests and evaluations to help researchers learn more about heart health after a heart attack. Your participation could contribute to better understanding and treatment of heart conditions in the future!
