ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is comparing two different methods for treating kidney stones: the standard procedure called PCNL (Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy) and a newer, less invasive version known as mini-PCNL. The goal is to see which method leads to better outcomes for patients, such as recovery time and overall satisfaction. The trial is currently looking for participants aged 18 and older who have kidney stones that are between 10 and 20 millimeters in size. Both men and women from all backgrounds are welcome to join.
If you decide to participate, you will undergo one of the two procedures based on random selection. It’s important to know that some patients may not be eligible, especially if they have certain medical conditions or if the procedure needs to be changed to a more invasive surgery. Participants will be fully informed about the study and must give consent to join. This trial aims to help doctors understand which approach is better for treating kidney stones, ultimately benefiting future patients.
