ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on collecting samples from patients with breast cancer to better understand the disease. If you are an adult over 18 and have been diagnosed with either invasive breast cancer or carcinoma in situ (a non-invasive form of breast cancer), you may be eligible to participate. The trial is currently recruiting participants who are scheduled for certain procedures, such as surgery to remove a tumor or placement of a device to help with treatment.
If you join the trial, during your scheduled procedure, a small blood sample will be taken, and there may also be an optional swab from the rectum to analyze the bacteria present. This is a one-time participation, and the follow-up will involve reviewing your medical records to track any changes in your condition, such as recurrence of cancer or spread to other areas. It's important to know that the trial excludes anyone under 18 or those who cannot provide consent themselves. If you meet the criteria and are interested, this study could contribute to important research on breast cancer.
