ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a program that offers a calcium score screening test at no charge to help identify people at risk for heart disease. The calcium score test measures the amount of calcium in your arteries, which can indicate the risk of having a heart attack or other cardiovascular issues. The aim of this trial is to see if providing this test for free increases its use and how it affects doctors' decisions in managing patients' heart health.

To participate in this study, you need to be between the ages of 65 and 74 and have received a coronary artery calcium (CAC) CT scan at University Hospitals since January 1, 2014. If you join, you can expect to contribute to important research that could improve how heart disease risk is assessed and managed in the community. It's important to note that this is a unique opportunity to see whether offering this test at no cost can help more people access it and ultimately enhance heart health care.
