ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new approach to help mothers who are experiencing depression while also caring for their young children enrolled in Head Start programs. The goal is to see if a stepped-care intervention can effectively support these mothers by offering both prevention strategies and help for those with more severe depression. This means that the type of support provided will be tailored to fit the individual needs of each mother, based on how severe their depression is.
To be eligible for the trial, mothers must have a child aged 0 to 5 years who is enrolled in a Head Start program and should be able to speak either English or Spanish. However, mothers who are feeling suicidal or have significant cognitive limitations will not be included in the study. If you participate, you can expect to receive personalized support that could help improve both your mental health and your child’s outcomes. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it offers a chance to contribute to important research that could benefit many families in similar situations.
