ClinConnect Summary
The "Think Dry" clinical trial is studying how to improve the way doctors diagnose urinary incontinence in older adults. Urinary incontinence means having trouble controlling when you urinate, and it can affect many older people, especially those over 65 years old. This condition can cause not just physical discomfort but also emotional stress and financial burdens. The goal of this study is to create a simpler and more effective set of tests to help identify the type of incontinence a person has, which can lead to better treatment options.
To participate in this trial, you must be at least 65 years old and experience any type of urinary incontinence, whether it’s stress-related (leaking during activities like laughing or coughing), urge-related (feeling a sudden need to go), or a mix of both. However, if you currently use a urinary catheter or have dementia, you won't be eligible to join. If you decide to participate, you can expect to undergo some tests that will help researchers understand your condition better and contribute to improving care for others facing similar challenges.
