ClinConnect Summary

The "Registry of Subjects at Risk of Pancreatic Cancer" is a clinical trial that aims to learn more about pancreatic cancer and the factors that might increase the risk of developing this disease, especially in people who have a family history or specific genetic conditions. This study is focused on individuals who have close family members with pancreatic cancer or who carry certain genetic mutations linked to the disease. The trial is currently recruiting participants aged between 65 to 74 years and 29 to 219 years, and it welcomes individuals of all genders.

To be eligible for this study, you might qualify if you have at least two relatives with pancreatic cancer, especially if one of them is a close family member like a parent or sibling. You may also qualify if you have specific genetic mutations (like BRCA1 or BRCA2) and a family history of pancreatic cancer, or if you belong to certain hereditary syndromes. Participants can expect to be part of a registry where their health will be monitored over time, helping researchers to understand better how these factors relate to pancreatic cancer. It's important to note that pregnant individuals are not eligible for this study.
