ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a new way to help elderly patients recover from hip fractures using a robotic device. The goal is to improve rehabilitation outcomes not just right after treatment, but also over the long term, with participants being followed up three times after the initial rehabilitation. The researchers want to see if this innovative technology can make a real difference in how well older adults heal and regain their strength after such injuries.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be able to give their consent and have experienced a hip fracture within the last 60 days. They should also have some difficulty with walking, as indicated by specific tests. However, those with certain health issues, like severe neurological diseases or conditions that prevent them from standing or walking, won’t be able to participate. If you or a loved one joins the trial, you can expect to receive rehabilitation using the robotic device, along with regular check-ins to monitor progress. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a study that could change how we help older adults recover from hip fractures.
