ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a condition called Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH), which affects newborns and can lead to serious health issues, including problems with lung and heart development. The researchers want to understand how CDH can impact heart function over time, particularly focusing on how the left side of the heart may not grow properly and how this can affect the child's overall health and development as they grow. They believe that babies with CDH who show certain heart-related issues may face more health challenges later in life.

To participate in the trial, children must be diagnosed with CDH and receiving care in a specialized neonatal intensive care unit or at a dedicated clinic for CDH. Unfortunately, some children won't be able to join, such as those who were born very early, diagnosed after the first week of life, or have other serious heart or genetic conditions. Participants will undergo heart tests to help researchers learn more about how CDH affects heart growth and function, which could improve future care for children with this condition.
