ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how different ovarian conditions, like benign (non-cancerous) cysts and torsion (a condition where the ovary twists), affect the number and quality of ovarian follicles, which are important for a girl's ability to have children in the future. Girls aged 0 to 18 years who are undergoing surgery related to their ovaries, such as removing a cyst or an ovary, may be eligible to participate. During the surgery, doctors may collect any leftover tissue that would normally be discarded to create a library of ovarian tissue samples for research.
If a girl qualifies for this study, she can expect that the doctors will explain the process and answer any questions her family may have. The goal is to gather valuable information to help understand ovarian health better. It’s important to note that pregnant girls cannot participate in this study. Overall, this research aims to contribute to better knowledge about ovarian conditions and their effects on future reproductive health.
