ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating different imaging methods to understand heart valve diseases better. Specifically, it will compare several techniques used to measure how well the heart is functioning, especially in patients with conditions like aortic stenosis (narrowing of the heart's aortic valve) and aortic regurgitation (where the aortic valve doesn't close properly). The goal is to see how these methods stack up against each other and how accurately they can assess the heart's performance using advanced imaging called cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR).
To participate in this trial, individuals must be between 18 and 90 years old and have suspected moderate to severe heart valve issues based on previous medical evaluations. Participants should also have a specific type of heart device (CRT) implanted and have reduced heart function. However, people with certain heart conditions, like severe valve dysfunction or significant anxiety related to enclosed spaces (claustrophobia), may not qualify. Those who join can expect to undergo various imaging tests to help researchers learn more about heart valve diseases and improve future treatments.
