ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at the long-term effects of different surgical techniques used to treat hypospadias, a common condition where the opening of the urethra is not in the usual place. The trial aims to follow up with boys who have had surgery for this condition to see how they are doing as they grow, especially after puberty when changes can occur. The researchers want to better understand the outcomes of surgeries performed using three specific methods known for their success.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be male, have undergone hypospadias surgery before December 31, 2009, and have had their surgery done by a specific surgeon using one of the three approved techniques. Parents need to agree to their child participating if the child is still very young. Participants can expect to undergo physical exams and other assessments to help researchers gather important information about their health as they continue to grow. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it’s essential for those interested to understand the commitment involved in being part of this important research.
