ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS), a condition that causes pain and weakness in the upper limbs due to compression of nerves or blood vessels in the area between the neck and the chest. The researchers want to better understand how this syndrome affects muscle strength and endurance in patients compared to healthy individuals. They will measure the strength of shoulder muscles and how far participants can walk in six minutes to see if there are significant differences.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be adults over 18 years old who are receiving rehabilitation for TOS at Nantes University Hospital. They must also be able to provide consent and be part of a social security scheme. Those who have other upper limb conditions, are pregnant, or have serious health issues that could affect the tests will not be included. Participants can expect to undergo various strength and endurance tests, and later, the trial will also assess how rehabilitation treatments improve their muscle strength and reduce fatigue.
