ClinConnect Summary
The Cirrhosis Care Alberta (CCAB) trial is a study designed to improve the care for patients with liver cirrhosis, a serious condition that can lead to significant health problems and hospital visits. This three-year program aims to enhance the quality of care, reduce the need for hospital stays, and ensure that both patients and healthcare providers are satisfied with the care provided. The program will focus on various important areas, such as managing cirrhosis effectively, offering support for alcohol use, planning for future health needs, and ensuring smooth transitions between hospital and home care.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be at least 18 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis of cirrhosis. Unfortunately, those without cirrhosis cannot take part. If you join the study, you can expect to receive tailored support and monitoring to help manage your condition better. The goal of this research is to create a more structured and effective approach to care for people living with cirrhosis, ultimately improving their health outcomes and quality of life.
