ClinConnect Summary
The SCOT-HEART 2 Trial is studying how participating in a heart health study affects people's lifestyles, focusing on their diet, physical activity, and habits. The trial will involve 400 participants who are already enrolled in the SCOT-HEART 2 study, which is looking at heart health using special scans called CT scans. At the beginning of the trial and again after six months, researchers will check how participants' lifestyles may change. They will also share the results from the CT scans with participants to help them better understand their heart health.
To be part of this trial, you must already be enrolled in the SCOT-HEART 2 study. The trial is open to all genders and includes adults aged between 14 and 25. If you join, you can expect to have your lifestyle reviewed at two different times, and receive important information about your heart from your CT scan. This trial aims to find out how taking part in heart health studies can help people make healthier choices.
