ClinConnect Summary
The China Extracorporeal Life Support Registry is a study that looks at how extracorporeal life support (ECLS), also known as ECMO, is used to help patients with serious heart and lung problems, such as cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, heart failure, and respiratory distress. This trial aims to gather information on how many patients are treated with ECLS in China and to understand the outcomes for these patients both in the short term and long term.
To participate in this study, patients must be receiving ECMO for support of their heart or lungs. Unfortunately, if a patient refuses to give consent for the study, they will not be included. The trial is currently looking for participants of all ages and genders, and it’s a great opportunity for patients and families to contribute to important research that could improve treatment for others in the future. Participants can expect to have their health information tracked over time to help researchers gain insights into the effectiveness of ECLS.
