ClinConnect Summary
The PICC Study is researching how non-fasting blood lipid levels—like cholesterol and fats in the blood—can predict heart and brain health issues in people living in Chinese communities. Previous studies have shown a link between these lipid levels and serious health events, but researchers want to see if this is true for the Chinese population specifically.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old, able to give your consent, and expected to live for more than a year. If you have a mental disorder, are unwilling to join, or have other health conditions that might interfere, you won't be eligible. As a participant, you'll help researchers understand how your non-fasting blood lipid levels relate to your cardiovascular health, which could help improve health outcomes in the future. The study is currently looking for volunteers, so if you meet the criteria, you might consider getting involved!
