ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating how well blood vessels and muscles work together to use oxygen in people with diabetes. In diabetes, high blood sugar can damage blood vessels, which may reduce oxygen flow to the muscles. This study aims to understand these issues better by comparing the blood vessel and muscle oxygen use in individuals with type 1 and type 2 diabetes—whether they have vascular complications or not—to healthy individuals.
To participate in this trial, you need to be between 18 and 85 years old and have type 1 or type 2 diabetes. Healthy individuals are also welcome to join. However, people with other types of diabetes, active cancer, alcohol abuse issues, or those who are pregnant cannot participate. If you take part, you can expect to undergo tests that will help researchers learn more about how diabetes affects oxygen flow and muscle function. This information could be valuable for improving care for people with diabetes in the future.
