ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how certain medications, known as anticholinergics, might affect the risk of falls in older adults with different levels of frailty. Frailty refers to a state of increased vulnerability that can make it harder for older adults to recover from illnesses or injuries. Researchers are looking at how these medications might lead to falls, especially in people who are more frail compared to others. The study includes older adults who live in the community and have been admitted to a Geriatrics Outpatient Clinic.
To be part of this study, participants need to be older adults living independently in the community. However, individuals with a history of dementia, current severe confusion, or those who rely heavily on others for daily activities are not eligible. Participants will be asked about their health and medications, and they can expect to contribute valuable information that may help improve safety for older adults in the future. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and everyone, regardless of gender, is welcome to join if they meet the criteria.
