ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding how chronic respiratory failure affects the quality of life of patients. Chronic respiratory failure can occur in conditions like Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and certain neuromuscular diseases. The researchers want to see how different treatments, such as non-invasive ventilation or mechanical ventilation, impact the daily lives of these patients.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be between 65 and 74 years old and diagnosed with chronic respiratory failure, currently receiving specific types of breathing support. Unfortunately, those under 18 or with significant other health issues that could interfere with following the trial rules cannot join. Participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences, which will help improve care for others facing similar challenges. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to gather valuable insights that could lead to better treatments and support for people living with these conditions.
