ClinConnect Summary
The YESS! trial is studying a new way to help teenagers with certain hormone-related conditions, like Turner Syndrome and Addison's Disease, successfully transition from pediatric (child) care to adult care. This transition can be difficult, and many young adults stop going to their medical appointments, which can lead to serious health issues. To help with this, researchers have created a fun game called the YESS! game. They believe that playing this game will help teenagers learn how to manage their health better and stay connected with their doctors during this important time.
To be eligible for the trial, participants need to be between 15 and 20 years old and have been diagnosed with one of the specific conditions mentioned. It's important that they have access to a mobile phone or tablet to use the YESS! game. Throughout the study, participants will play the game and share their experiences, which will help researchers understand if it really makes a difference in how well they manage their health and stay engaged with their healthcare providers. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it's an exciting opportunity for young people facing these challenges.
