ClinConnect Summary

**Clinical Trial Summary: Social Cognition in Pediatric Epilepsy**

This clinical trial is studying how children with epilepsy understand and interact with others compared to healthy children. Researchers want to learn if kids with epilepsy, who often face challenges with thinking skills and language, also have different social skills. The goal is to see if these challenges affect how they develop social cognition, which is the ability to understand and respond to social situations. By comparing children with epilepsy to healthy children of the same age, the study aims to find out how thinking skills and language development relate to social understanding.

To be eligible for this trial, children must be between 6 and 12 years old, be native French speakers, and have a diagnosis of epilepsy. There will also be a group of healthy children of the same age to compare against. Participants will engage in activities to assess their thinking and social skills in a supportive environment. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it’s a great opportunity to help researchers learn more about the unique needs of children with epilepsy.
