ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how blood flows through the arteries in the hand, specifically looking at the radial (thumb side), ulnar (pinky side), and interdigital (between the fingers) arteries. The researchers want to understand blood flow in both healthy individuals and those who have had surgery on their hand, like a hand transplant or a radial forearm flap reconstruction. By using a special type of MRI (a medical imaging technique), they hope to find better ways to monitor blood flow, which is crucial for the health of transplanted tissues.
To participate in this study, you need to be an adult (18 years or older) and either a healthy volunteer or a patient who has had a hand transplant or needs specific surgery on the hand. It's important that you do not have any conditions that would prevent you from having an MRI, and you should be able to provide informed consent, meaning you understand the study and agree to take part. If you join the trial, you can expect to undergo MRI scans that will help the researchers gather valuable information about blood flow in the hand, which could improve treatments for future patients.
