ClinConnect Summary
The Calgary Registry for Advanced and Therapeutic Endoscopy (CReATE) is a clinical trial designed to gather important information about patients undergoing a specific procedure called ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography). This procedure is often used to diagnose and treat conditions affecting the bile ducts and pancreas. The trial is currently recruiting participants who are 18 years or older and can provide informed consent. If you or a loved one has a standard reason for needing an ERCP and does not have any reasons that would prevent the procedure, you may be eligible to join.
Participants in this study can expect to have their medical information collected before, during, and after the ERCP procedure. A trained research assistant will be present to observe and record details as they happen. Additionally, a follow-up phone interview will take place about 30 days after the procedure to gather further information on the outcomes. This registry not only aims to improve understanding of ERCP outcomes but also supports other ongoing research studies. If you're considering participation, it’s a chance to contribute to valuable research while receiving standard medical care.
