ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a condition called MVNT, which stands for multinodular and vacuolating neuronal tumor of the cerebrum. This is a benign (non-cancerous) brain lesion that is not well understood and often presents in the temporal lobes of the brain. The trial aims to improve how these lesions are diagnosed using advanced MRI techniques, which could help prevent unnecessary surgeries for patients who actually do not need them.
To participate in this study, you must be over 18 years old and have had a first MRI that suggests you might have MVNT based on specific imaging criteria. This includes seeing a clustered appearance in the MRI images and certain signals that indicate the nature of the lesion. The study is currently recruiting participants of all genders. If you decide to join, you'll undergo more detailed MRI scans to help researchers understand how to better identify this condition. It’s important to note that individuals who cannot have an MRI or are pregnant are not eligible to participate. This study could lead to better diagnostic tools, ultimately improving care for patients with MVNT.
