ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a type of surgery called reduced port laparoscopic gastrectomy for patients with gastric cancer, which is cancer of the stomach. The goal is to compare the safety and outcomes of this newer surgical approach, which uses fewer small incisions, to the traditional laparoscopic gastrectomy, which is a more common method. Researchers want to see how well patients do in both the short term and long term after their surgeries.

To be eligible for this trial, participants need to have a confirmed diagnosis of stomach cancer, be in certain stages of the disease, and have good overall health. Specifically, they should not have cancer that has spread to other parts of the body or certain types of advanced cancer. If you join the trial, you can expect to receive either the reduced port surgery or the traditional surgery, and the team will monitor your recovery closely to gather important information about the effects of both methods. This study is currently looking for participants between the ages of 65 and 74, but anyone aged 32 to 87 is welcome to inquire.
