ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two different ways to use ultrasound to see a part of the heart called the inferior vena cava (IVC) in children. Usually, doctors place the ultrasound probe below the chest, which can be uncomfortable for kids. This study is exploring a new method where the probe is placed under the arm, which may be more comfortable for young patients. The goal is to see if this new position is just as effective for getting a clear view of the heart.
To be eligible to participate, children must be between 2 and 18 years old and need to have permission from their parents. They will need to be stable and not in need of emergency surgery. Participants can expect a comfortable ultrasound experience, and the study is happening at a specific medical facility. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to improve how doctors can assess heart health in children.
