ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new way to assess fatty liver disease using a special type of ultrasound called thermo-acoustic ultrasound. Researchers want to see how accurately this device can estimate the amount of fat in the liver compared to a standard imaging test known as MRI-PDFF. They are also testing how well this device can detect fatty liver conditions, including non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH).
To join the study, participants should be between 18 and 70 years old and either have been diagnosed with or are suspected of having fatty liver disease. They must be able to understand and sign a consent form and be able to undergo ultrasound and MRI tests. However, people with certain medical devices, such as pacemakers, or those who are pregnant or unable to tolerate these tests cannot participate. If eligible, participants can expect to undergo both ultrasound and MRI scans during the trial to help researchers gather important data about fatty liver disease.
