ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how certain conditions, like autonomic neuropathy and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, affect patients over time. Researchers are looking at individuals with these conditions compared to healthy people at three different points: when they first join the study, after three months, and after one and a half years. The goal is to understand how these diseases progress and to validate a German version of a specific health score that helps diagnose a related condition called Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). They also want to create a straightforward way for doctors to diagnose these issues in outpatient settings.
To be eligible to participate, you need to be between 18 and 80 years old and have one of the following: autonomic neuropathy, POTS, or specific types of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. People with chronic fatigue syndrome, mast cell activation syndrome, or those recovering from COVID are also welcome to join. However, you cannot participate if you are pregnant, have a pacemaker, have certain types of nerve diseases, or are diagnosed with a neurodegenerative disorder. If you join the study, you’ll have check-ups at the clinic and contribute to important research that could help many people understand and manage these conditions better.
