ClinConnect Summary
The HIV-HEART Aging Study is a research project designed to understand how heart and blood vessel diseases affect people living with HIV. The study looks at various health issues such as heart disease and heart failure among HIV-infected patients, helping researchers see how these conditions develop over time. The study includes adults over 18 years old who have been diagnosed with HIV and are in stable health. Participants will undergo a series of health check-ups, including blood tests and heart assessments, to gather important information about their cardiovascular health.
To be part of this study, individuals must be at least 18 years old, have a known HIV infection, and give their consent to participate. However, those with recent heart problems or pregnant individuals cannot join. As a participant, you can expect thorough examinations and tests to monitor your heart health and how it relates to living with HIV. This research is vital for improving care and treatment options for those affected by HIV and related heart issues.
