ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how to safely manage patients with implanted cardiac devices, like pacemakers or defibrillators, during surgeries that are not related to these devices. The goal is to understand any problems that might arise with these devices during or after surgery, as current recommendations are often based on older information. Researchers will collect and analyze data from over 500 patients who have undergone more than 700 procedures to learn more about the best practices for caring for these patients.
To participate in the trial, individuals must be at least 18 years old and have an implanted cardiac device. They should also be scheduled for a surgery or procedure that does not involve their device. Participants can expect their device's data to be checked before, during, and after the procedure to monitor for any issues. This study is currently recruiting participants, and findings may help improve the safety and management of patients with cardiac devices during various medical procedures.
