This clinical trial is focused on collecting biological samples from patients and caregivers who have been infected with COVID-19, caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The goal is to gather and store these samples at the Bordeaux University Hospital to support various research projects aimed at understanding the virus and improving treatment options. By studying these samples, researchers hope to learn more about the disease and how to better care for those affected.

To participate in this study, individuals must be treated at Bordeaux University Hospital for either mild or serious COVID-19 symptoms, or even as caregivers of those affected. This includes men and women of all ages, as well as pregnant or breastfeeding women. Sadly, patients who have passed away from the virus may also be included through post-mortem samples. Participants will need to give their consent to join the study, and it’s important to note that individuals under legal guardianship cannot take part. This study is currently looking for volunteers, and anyone who qualifies will play a crucial role in advancing our understanding of COVID-19.

Eligibility criteria

• Inclusion Criteria:
• • Patients / caregivers treated at Bordeaux University Hospital for asymptomatic or symptomatic infection by SARS -CoV-2
• • men and women, adults and minors as well as pregnant or breastfeeding women
• • patients who died following infection with SARS-CoV-2 (specific criterion for post-mortem biopsies)
• • Be affiliated with or beneficiary of a social security scheme
• • Free and informed consent obtained and signed by the patient
• Exclusion Criteria:
• • Under guardianship or curatorship
