ClinConnect Summary
The COVER Cohort study is looking at patients with a condition called acute hidrosadenitis, which causes painful lumps in areas like the armpits and groin. The goal of this research is to better understand the different types of this condition, which can vary from person to person. By identifying these different types, doctors hope to find the best ways to treat each individual and improve their care.
To participate in this study, you need to have been diagnosed with acute hidrosadenitis by a skin doctor (dermatologist) and agree to be part of the study. Unfortunately, if you don’t have social security coverage, are under legal guardianship, or are in a protected class, you won’t be able to join. If you do take part, you'll help researchers learn more about your condition, which could lead to better treatments for everyone in the future. The study is currently recruiting participants of all ages and genders.
