ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying different ways to manage the area where a tooth has just been removed, especially in the front of the mouth where appearance is important. After a careful tooth extraction, participants will be randomly placed into one of three treatment groups: one group will receive an immediate dental implant and a temporary tooth; the second group will allow the area to heal for four months before placing an implant with additional procedures if needed; and the third group will also let the area heal for four months, then place an implant with the same possible additional procedures. After four months, all participants will receive their final prosthesis, or replacement tooth, and will have regular check-ups for up to five years.
To be eligible for this trial, participants should be between the ages of 65 and 74 and must have a single tooth extraction in the front part of their mouth. They should also have healthy gums, control their plaque, and not have any serious health issues like autoimmune diseases or uncontrolled diabetes. It's important to note that this study is currently recruiting participants and aims to assess both the physical condition of the dental area and the overall satisfaction with the treatment over time.
