ClinConnect Summary

The Canadian Prospective Pragmatic Perilunate Outcomes Trial is a research study aimed at understanding wrist injuries, specifically those involving the perilunate area, such as fractures and dislocations. The study will gather information on patients with these injuries from various hospitals across Canada over a period of two to three years. By looking at both past and current cases, the researchers hope to learn more about the nature of these injuries and how they are treated. Participants will be followed up at two, five, and ten years after their injury to see how well they recover.

To be eligible for this study, participants must be at least 14 years old and have a diagnosed perilunate injury. There are no specific exclusions based on health conditions, so many people may be able to join. If you choose to participate, you will need to follow the study’s guidelines, including attending follow-up visits and completing any necessary questionnaires. This study could help improve treatment for wrist injuries in the future, making it an important opportunity for those affected.
