ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how sensory-tonic stimulation, like skin-to-skin contact and gentle massages, can help improve the interactions between very premature infants (those born before 32 weeks of pregnancy) and their parents. These early interactions are crucial because they help shape the baby’s emotional connections and future relationships. The trial aims to see if these pleasant experiences can support the baby's neurological development, especially since very preterm infants often face stressful and painful situations when they are separated from their parents in a hospital setting.

To participate in this study, parents must have a very preterm baby, but the baby should not be born before 32 weeks of pregnancy or have a birth weight under 600 grams. Babies with certain health issues or serious congenital conditions will not be eligible. If you and your baby qualify, you can expect to engage in activities that promote bonding and development in a supportive environment. This trial is actively looking for participants, so it could be a valuable opportunity for families with very premature infants to potentially improve their early experiences together.
