ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying whether placing a special tube called a pancreatic stent can help lower the risk of a condition called pancreatitis after a procedure known as pancreatic sphincterotomy. This procedure is performed during a specific type of endoscopic treatment for patients who have difficulty accessing the bile duct. The goal is to see if using the stent makes a difference in preventing complications following the procedure.

To be eligible for this trial, participants should be adults aged 18 and older who are undergoing this treatment for the first time. People who have had acute pancreatitis or do not agree to participate will not be included. If you join the study, you will be part of a group that either receives the stent or does not, and the researchers will monitor your health to see how you respond after the procedure. It's an important opportunity to help improve care for future patients facing similar challenges.
