ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how blood behaves around blood clots in the brain during an acute ischemic stroke, which is when blood flow to the brain is blocked. By examining the blood collected near the clot right after a stroke occurs, researchers hope to understand the biological processes that lead to brain damage. This information could help improve treatments for stroke patients in the future.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be over 18 years old and able to perform daily activities on their own before having a stroke. They must also have a specific type of blockage in a large blood vessel in the brain, confirmed by imaging tests. Unfortunately, people who are not expected to receive treatment for their stroke or those who are under guardianship cannot join the study. If you participate, you'll help researchers learn more about how strokes affect the brain, which could lead to better care for future patients.
