ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to learn more about liver cirrhosis, a serious condition where the liver becomes damaged and scarred. Researchers want to understand how the disease develops, what factors might lead to early death or hospital visits, and how new tools can help monitor and treat the condition. To do this, they will be enrolling patients who have recently been diagnosed with cirrhosis, regardless of the cause.
To participate, individuals should be between the ages of 65 and 74 and have a medical evaluation that suggests cirrhosis, supported by blood tests and imaging studies like ultrasounds. Participants will need to provide written consent to join the study. Those who are unsure about their diagnosis or who have been diagnosed with liver cirrhosis through reliable tests will not be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to contribute to important research that could improve care for others with this condition.
