ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Therapeutic Recommendations for Nephroblastoma," is studying how well different medical centers can follow treatment guidelines for children with nephroblastoma, a type of kidney cancer. The goal is to ensure that kids receive the best possible care according to established protocols based on earlier studies. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and it's open to anyone aged 182 days to 6574 days (approximately 6 months to 18 years) and of any gender.
To be eligible for this trial, children must have a unilateral (one-sided) nephroblastoma tumor that has not been treated before and must be healthy enough to receive treatment. Unfortunately, children with bilateral tumors (tumors on both sides), those who have already received treatment, or those with very advanced disease are not eligible. If chosen to participate, families can expect to follow specific treatment recommendations and contribute to improving care for future patients. This trial is an important step in ensuring that children with nephroblastoma receive consistent and effective treatment across different medical centers.
