ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking into how different types of special glasses with high-power prisms can help people who have lost part of their vision. This condition is called visual field loss, which can make it difficult to see obstacles while walking. The goal is to find the best designs for these glasses so they can be used in future studies to improve safety and mobility for patients.
To participate in this study, individuals should have some form of visual field loss but still be able to see reasonably well with their better eye. They should also be in good health to manage visits that last a few hours and be able to walk short distances independently. Participants will typically visit the Schepens Eye Research Institute four times to try on the glasses and help researchers gather information on how to make these devices better. It's important to note that those with certain health issues, like balance problems or recent seizures, may not be eligible for the trial.
